A life saving antibiotic to cure illnesses and infections was finally discovered. It was discovered by Alexander Fleming in 1928 when he had a piece of moldy bread on a petri dish. He was observing the little stems of mold very closely and noticed there were little spores. The little spores turned out to be one of the greatest discoveries of the 1920s. When Fleming found out that the spores had the power to cure many illnesses and infections, the knowledge of Penicillin spread rapidly until almost everyone was using it inside the medicine field. However, this was a big deal because scientist had figured out how to cure many illnesses and infections. Doctors and patients considered it a life saver and one of the greatest inventions ever created.
